Description
Christmas commission for The Dugans. She didn't really know exactly what she wanted but she wanted something cool. I asked a few questions like "what's your husbands favorite album" and she answered "Purple Rain". So Then I suggested I could swap out Prince's face for his. She immediately agreed this would be a great idea. Then I suggested that we line the sides with his favorite items. So we tried a few video game icons and 80s icons. She though they didn't really work together well so I was asked to lean more towards 80s icons. Anyway. there you go. Really fun piece to work on.

Really like this tribute to two of my favourite things, the 80s and Prince at the top of his game and career with Purple Rain. I can't help but love the way you included some of the most recognizable icons of a decade I came after it, and have it be also a tribute to Prince.
